Open to all, members of I Cambristi or not.
This workshop is open to pre-formed groups (min 3): strings, woodwinds, pianos, beginners or not, amateurs, students, young professionals... you are all welcome!

Masterclasses
We concentrate strictly on the study of chamber music literature.
There will be 5 x 1.5 hours of lessons and 1 ‘coached’ rehearsal session on Sunday afternoon to prepare for the participants' public audition.

Possibility of going to the concert in Spa (13 kms from Stavelot) of Xavier Locus on the piano and Filip Jordens, who sings the repertoire of Jacques Brel

Play In (ACMP): from 5.00 to 6.00 pm, 6.30 pm: discovery of chamber music scores, with variable geometry, supervised by 2 coaches.
Each participant will take (complete) scores to be discovered by partners other than those in their own group! After 30 minutes, we change movement, musicians and works.

- Rehearsal for the audition, supervised by a coach at the Abbey: 2 pm to 3.45 pm
- Audition of the trainees, Abbaye, Réfectoire des Moines, from 4 to 6 pm
(Dress for the stage as this concert is part of the official Stavelot Festival programme; free for all).

What us included in the rate:

the opportunity to rehearse in your own class at the Collège on Thursday 14 August, from 2pm until 5pm.

5 lessons of 1h30 each

3 lunches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

the drink after the concert on Saturday 16 August at the Abbaye (from 10.30pm)

participation in the Play In (ACMP) at 5pm on Saturday

an audition in the Abbey Hall, with its exceptional acoustics (on a very good Sibret concert piano).

How to register for the course:
Registration is by group and not individually.
The group registers online by filling in the form here
Participants who are not already identified on this site must log in and register (see FAQ). If they do not wish to become members of I Cambristi, they do not pay the membership fee.
This step is necessary in order to obtain the contact details of the trainees and their instrument for any subsequent contact and to be able to register them in their respective group.
